Upgrade Options

Hi all,

I work for a small school in the IT department.  We've got a 10Tb Pegasus R6 that is serving as a Time Machine backup for our faculty and staff.  It's recently become full (mostly) and we're looking at ways to increase our space or upgrade our server.  The server is a 2011 Mac Mini (4Gigs ram, 500Gig hdd) .  We were wondering if it is possible to Daisy chain 2 Pegasus Devices through the second Thunderbolt port on the pegasus, thereby expanding our storage.  We also wondered if upgrading our server would more efficiently handle the backups (maybe not the right question for this forum) .

Hello Austin,

1.Daisy chain will not expand total capacity, it will show two separate volume for you to use.

2.Upgrading server will not improve Pegasus's speed.(thunderbolt is the key)
