Can anyone direct me to what drivers / firmware to install - I have tried everything but cannot get the drive to mount. I know the drive is working - but am unable to understand what software is needed for macbook to recognize the drive.
thanks

Hi Daniel,
Regarding the driver use this.
You should use the latest Pegasus1 firmware.
WIthout the latest firmware you may see issues like random dismounts, the Volume not mounting after a reboot, or the Mac may not see the Pegasus at all. These issues might be seen, but only with very old firmware.
To do a firmware update (if needed), you'll need this Promise Utility.
There is a Knowledge Base article on updating the firmware.
This worked great ! thanks R P
hi R P
as mentioned your previous repy to my problem was very helpful - I used the driver your suggested and the utility you suggeted to install the firmware you suggested. However now 6 months later I am all of sudden no longer able to mount the Pegasus1. I the drive itself know it is working well. I am still on the same computer MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Max - my OS has since been update to 15.5 (buth that update does not coincide with the drive not being recognized).
I have again followed all the steps that you listed.
However I don't seem to be able to update firmware because now the Promise Utility does not seem to allow me to anything except install it ? i e the app opens but offers no functionality with which to update the firmware as described in the KB article you linked me too.
any help here would be greatly appreciated
thanks,
Daniel

This is not appropriate. Before you had no driver installed, the directions were to install the driver. But drivers don't uninstall themselves, something has happened and it needs to be root caused.
We have a basic troubleshooting guide, see if this will help you debug the issue.
Thanks R P
I have followed the trouble shooting guide you sent
power and thunderbolt connection all fine
driver is installed and enabled, and confirmed this according to nested set of troubleshooting articles

however pegasus still not showing up in disk utility (not just not mounted, but not recognized at all)
