Hi there,

I recently upgraded my Mac OS to 10.12.

Now my legacy Pegasus R4 ejects itself when my MacBook Pro goes to sleep.

I updated the R4's firmware before the move to 10.12 -- it's running: 5.04.0000.61, Dec 2016.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Regards,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

We need to check the logs to find out the root cause of the issue.

Please register your product at https://support.promise.com and open a case.

Also save the subsystem logs using the below steps and attach it to the case.

1) Open Promise Utility.

2) Click subsystem information icon on the top of the window.

3) Click the lock symbol on the left bottom corner of the screen to unlock the utility.

4) Click on save service report button to save the subsystem report .

Thanks !

Thanks, I've done that now.

Hi folks,

I'm having the exact same problem.  I've got the Pegasus 2 R4 for the past 4 years.  Last week I got the 15" touchbar, OS 10.12.5, and after setting myself up, this "Disk Not Ejected Properly" message everytime my mbp goes to sleep.  It's happened every day.  Lastly, my R4 doesn't sleep anymore.  Normally it goes to sleep when I put the mbp to sleep, but now it stays lit all night.

Are these bad ejections going to cause damage to my data? Help!

Chris

Hi Pradeep,

Thanks for the advice.  I've downloaded the updated drivers and still, my pegasus2 R4 still doesn't want to sleep.

I've just sent the subsystem report in an Open Case.  Hope you got it and hope to get some advice.

Thanks!
