Based on this article* on how to update the firmware of Pegasus 1 devices , it says the maximum firmware version is 5.04.0000.61 , yet my R4 runs on 5.04.0000.64. I have two other R6es that are on 5.02.0000.70 , should i do a 5.04.0000.61 or source for the 5.04.0000.64 version

Also , does anyone know why data stored on a NEW array cannot be shifted to Bin? My R4's array took around a few months to suddenly allow transfer to bin rather than an instant delete from disk. Am running on Monterey 12.6.8 on a MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Pro. Never had this issue on my previous MacBook Pro 2012

Hi Jeremy,

Based on this article* on how to update the firmware of Pegasus 1 devices , it says the maximum firmware version is 5.04.0000.61 , yet my R4 runs on 5.04.0000.64.

The latest firmware in the Pegasus1 downloads page is 5.04.0000.61. As it solves all the known issues with earlier Pegasus1 firmware it is the suggested download. To download v5.04.0000.64 you have to download from the Pegasus2 downloads page.

It's possible that the downloads page was not updated,  but 5.04.0000.61 is recommended because there is no known benefit to updating to 5.04.0000.64 over 5.04.000.61, 5.04.0000.64 is in the downloads for the Pegasus2, and using it might potentially cause unknown issues.

But since the issue has been raised, I will make some inquiries and see if I can find out what happened here.

EDIT: After some internal discussion it was determined that the latest official Pegasus1 firmware is 5.04.0000.61.
