VessRAID 1830i SMB Config

Hi,

I am trying to counfigure our Vess 1830i to provide SMB file sharing to a mac server running time machine backups.

The data sheet says the unit can do SMB/CIFS, but there is no mention in the manual. We are also running arrays as SAN drives for a windows box, I have a different array for the mac share...

 

Can this be done?
