Hi,
I believe that the Vess R2600 only supports SMB v1.0, and modern Windows disables SMB v1.0 by default.
You need to enable SMB 1.0 support in Windows. This Microsoft article should help.
Hello,
the server supports SMB v2. I have other workstations with Windows 10 and 11, with SMB v1.0 disabled and they work correctly.
The problem only happens in Win11 24H2.
The strangest part is that the connection shows "OK" when checking through Net Use and I can also mount it as a drive. It shows the available storage but when I try to browse I get the error "The specified server cannot perform the requested operation."
Hi,
This is a new issue.
Since the storage is accessible from other Windows machines and SMB has not changed, this looks more like a bug in the SMB of Windows 11 24H2 than a storage issue. Microsoft forums might provide some answers.
But as a workaround, you can always try NFS. NFS is not enabled by default and it's slower than SMB, but you should be able to access the storage.
