Updated today, then went back to earlier version 56. I started getting drive command time out (on 2 different drives on 2 separate occasions) then system would hang even after utilility reported it reset the drive.

Turns out that this is NOT related to the firmware update. It has occurred mow in the previous version. I have another hypothesis, it is in the experiment stage now. The unit is attached to a mac pro 6.1, running the very latest OS X (it occurred on the one back version as well).

Command Timeouts followed by Disk Resets means a failing drive. If it happens six times in a row the drive should be marked offline/dead. Please contact Technical Support at 408-228-1500 and we will help you get the case started on eSupport (http://support.promise.com)
