I have purchased a M3 macbook pro and am upgrading the firmware to the Pegasus 32 vs6 6.0.xxxx to manage the legacy Pegasus3 R6 machines which I have. Currently they are running though an Intel macbook Pro. Once the firmware has been upgraded, will the intel mac no longer work if I had a failure on the M3 macbook pro, or will it still function as a backup?

thanks for any advice.

OK I have a better understanding now. Once I install the DEXT driver for apple silicon, it deletes the KEXT driver making it unuable for Mac intel.

I updated to the DEXT driver on the mac silicon and everything seems to be working fine.

Hi  Kenton,

The Pegasus 3s should work fine on the Intel Macbook Pro after updating the firmware.

The DEXT driver is, as it says, for Apple Silicon Macs. The Intel macOS already has a Pegasus driver built in and no driver updates are needed. Please don't install the DEXT driver on Intel macOS.
