Hi, I need help with deleting items from my Promise Pegasus 2 R4 storage system. I could delete the items from the drive. However; everytime i connect my R4 , the deleted items show up back in trash folder of my mac. Surprisingly, i can not see the files when I browse through R4 folder. But these items just stay in Trash. I tried deleting from trash but these keep coming back.

How do I permanently delete thsese items? Any information would be appreciated.

Robin.

Hi Robin,

Pegasus is a raw storage, you can select the folder/files then delete it from the volume. Please find the below mentioned steps to permanently delete files in Mac OS El Capitan :

Step #1. Click on the Finder from Dock at the bottom of the screen.

Step #2. Select the file you want to delete.

Step #3. Click the File menu while holding the Option key on your keyboard.

Step #4. Click on “Delete Immediately” from the file menu.

Step #5. Confirm the operation when prompted by OS X.

Step #6. Click on “Delete”; or “Cancel” in case you do not want to delete it permanently.

As an easy alternative, you can also use Option + Command + Delete from keyboard to delete the file quickly. You can also try the same option from Trash.
