I have a Pegasus R4 8TB with (4) 2TB hard drives. One of the slots of this unit failed so I bought a new Pegasus2 R6 12TB. Can I take the hard drives out of the R4 and put them in the new R6 and have the data transfer be seemless?

Hi Jeff,
You can switch the drives from your R4 unit to R6 unit to access the data. The drives should be connected in the same order. However, there will be two unused bay in your R6 unit. You could backup all the data to your R6 unit, delete the array in R4 unit after the back and recreate the RAID with only 3 drives, This way you could use your R4 unit as well as your R6 unit.
