Hi.

I own a Promise SuperTrak EX4650 Raid controller.

Right now I have 4x500 GB disks installed running in RAID 5 = 1.5TB virtual disk.

I want to upgrade my capacity, but Im unsure about how much capacity my controller supports.

I've upgraded to the latest firmware (SR4.2).

I've read in the manual that my controller supports up to 3 TB disk (4x750 GB).

Will I be able to install 4*2TB drives in RAID 5 (6 TB)  and then create 2 virtual disk of each 3 TB?

or should I look for a new controller?

I look forward to read your advise

Here is the last Compatibility List for SR4.1.

Note that you need the last controller firmware version to support drives larger than 2TB...
