Stacking two Pegasus 2 R6

As the title of this topic suggests, I am hoping to stack two Pegasus 2 R6 (18TB each) so as that they mount as one drive.

I am also wondering what would be the best level to run these. I would them mirrored with as much speed as possible.

Also, one is currently in use. Is there a way to do this without having to back everything up... as this would mean having access to another 9TB.

They will be running from a Mac OSX server.

I am very much a beginner, so excuse my ignorance.

Thanks a lot,

Hi Chris,

You cannot create an array in the Pegasus that spans enclosures. But you can create a spanned volume in macOS that will put both Pegasus LUNs in the same Volume. This article shows how.

There is no way to preserve data when creating the spanned volume however, you will have to erase the disks before creating a spanned volume, so you'll have to offload your date temporarily and copy it back after the spanned volume is created,
