I'm about to install the Pegasus Thunderbolt DEXT Driver to enable using our Pegasus2 R6 wih a new MacBook Pro M4. The instructions found here: https://kb.promise.com/thread/connecting-pegasus1-and-pegasus2-to-m1-m2-m3-m4-mac-systems-using-a-thunderbolt-3-usb-c-to-thunderbolt-2-adapter/ look very thorough. Thanks for providing them.

Once done, will I still be able to use our current old MacPro if I need to, or will the new driver not work with the older MacPro?

Hi Kevin,

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking here.

I have a cheese grater 2019 Mac Pro and Intel macOS includes a Pegasus driver, there is no need to install a driver here.

Once you install the driver on your new M4 Macbook pro, you should be able to plug the Pegasus into either mac and the volume should mount on the desktop.

So, the driver resides on the M4 MBP, not the Pegasus2 R6. I understand now. Makes sense. Thank you!
