I recently purchased one of these and have set it up as per the instructions.
Is there a way of grouping pictures by album, i.e. holiday 2016, Christmas 2015 etc

You can only group the pictures by folder under file category. Just add folders and consider that as your album, name the folders accordingly and add pictures. In terms of making albums under the picture category, we don't have that feature yet.
