Is the older Promise Sanlink F1002 fibre channel to Thunderbolt adapter compatible with the later Mac operating systems such as OS 10.11-13? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for your reply, Hariprasad. The F1002 is a 4Gb fibre channel unit, not the current unit. Is this still compatible with the later Mac operating systems?

1. Yes, it's compatible. SANLink1(F1002) (LSI Logic drivers) are built into OS X and developed/compiled by Apple.
2. The only drivers/kernel extensions developed/compiled by Promise are SANLink2/3 which do need to be installed.

Thanks a lot, PB. Very helpful. One final question- does the F1002 have a universal, 120-240 volt power supply or are different power supplies used in different parts of the world?

Looking at the label on the PS module, it says "100-240V, 50-60Hz", so it is indeed universal.

You would just need to get the appropriate plug adapter to use it in different regions.
