Redundancy check encountered inconsistent block(s) -- can't figure out what's causing

For some time now I've been getting warnings from time to time that "redundancy check encountered inconsistent block(s)". This does not give me a good and happy feeling, as I imagine something must be in the process of failing to cause this problem, and I would rather change it out before it fully fails. However, I can't find any indication of what drive mechanism might be failing.

I'm running both Media Patrol and Redundancy Check weekly. Nothing else is being logged other than the inconsistent blocks, and the SMART status of the drives seems non-problematic as far as I can tell. The array is set up as RAID6, with 6xToshiba DT01ACA3.

Thanks in advance for any tips.
