The R6 has become a paper weight with some files on it. Please help!

Promise Pegasus R6 is read only now. I have told the partition to ignore ownership on this volume. Doesn't help as it says I can read only. It still thinks I'm not the administrator. Disk Utility First Aid did not help.

If I clone those folders to another drive then I can read and write to that cloned drive with no issues.

Promise Utility has the Settings, Save Service Report, Clear Statistics, and Shutdown button all greyed out so that I cannot save a Subsystem Report. Physical Drive menu shows the 6 drives. The Wizard says there are no physical drives to configure.

Help! What can I do?

Hi Jeff,

You need to unlock the Promise utility in order to save the subsystem report of the unit. The physical drives might be configured as raid volume and it shows no drives are available to configure the raid volume.

- Open Promise Utility

- Click subsystem information icon on the top of the window

- Click the lock symbol on the left bottom corner of the screen to unlock the utility.

Please open a case at http://support.promise.com or call us at (408) 228-1500 to troubleshoot the issue.
