Hello,

On a side note, I can't register for an account on https://support.promise.com/. The error is I need more than 6 characters for the password but I'm typing 20.

On my Pegasus R6, I have an error:

Bad sector is found on physical disk

Questions:

  • The device is PD3, is this physical drive 3?
  • I see green checkmarks everywhere, is the data okay?
  • This raid 6, should I be okay to transfer data off safely?
  • Should I replace the drive and rebuild?

Thanks.

If the Severity is "Info" you don't have to do anything - the bad sector was replaced by a spare and the data moved or recreated by parity there...

Severity is "Minor", sorry I forgot to mention. There were some obvious noises that the drive was doing something abnormal.

Whoops, forgot about that - "Minor" is okay too.

Okay, I have an identical drive on standby just in case. I'm happy that I went with raid 6 with this one.

Thanks!
