Promise Utility Pro issue with Pegasus2 firmware

I have a Mac Studio with latest Promise Utility Pro installed v 23.4.1  and when I open it it always says that my Pegasus2 R6 has a firmware update, but it's already up to date! If I click on UPDATE NOW, it does nothing, says updating and takes forever without progessing the installation bar. I've checked the Pegasus2 support page and I already have the latest firmware on my Pegasus2.

Can someone please help me with this? It's very annoying. I don't know if it's a problem of the latest version of Promise Utility Pro. My computer has MacOs Ventura 13.4

Thanks

Hi Albert,

The issue of the Pegasus Pro Utility indicating that a firmware update is needed where the firmware is up to date has already been been reported.

But it is not recommended using the Pegasus Pro Utility if you have a Pegasus2. For a Pegasus 2 you should use an older version of the Promise (non-Pro) Utility, v4.06.0000.01 is suggested.

Hi, thanks for your reply. The problem is that I also have a Pegasus3 R8 so should I just ignore the firmware update message? You think you'll be able to fix thw bug in a future software update of the Pro Utility?

thanks

Hi Albert,

Hi, thanks for your reply. The problem is that I also have a Pegasus3 R8

The Promise Utility v4.06.0000.01 was released for the Pegasus32 and is backwards compatible with older Pegasus models.

so should I just ignore the firmware update message?

Yes.

You think you'll be able to fix thw bug in a future software update of the Pro Utility?

As mentioned previously, this has been reported as a bug already.
