I have run out of capacity. So I want to increase the capacity, how many T hard drives can this model support? What should I be aware of before buying a new hard drive?

The model can support up to 18TB. You can purchase WD or Toshiba drives with that capacity. The current drives have to be archived and you cannot use both the old drives and the new drives at the same time. Also, the Promise hardware warranty will be applicable only for the original drives and not for the newly replaced drives. You must contact the vendor from whom you get the drives.
Please do note that you will need to back up your data from the current drives before replacing the unit with the new drives as new RAID configuration will have to be created.
You can also purchase another Pegasus unit and daisy chain with the existing device. This will give you more space and it will allow you to move the data from existing unit to new unit.
