I was copying some files from my Pegasus when I got an alert saying "The disk had been ejected".  I can no longer see the Pegasus drive.  The Promise Utility won't start. I can't even switch it off, holding the power button down does nothing.  There are no errors, no red lights. I tried the command line but all I get is this:

cliib> array

===============================================================================

DaId Alias     OpStatus      CfgCapacity FreeCapacity   MaxContiguousCapacity

===============================================================================

No configured disk array in the subsystem

Hi Nick,

I just responded to you about erasing your disk, did you get your issue resolved?

If not, for the above issus you should open a support case at https://support.promise.com

I cant "see" mine either. I was getting some disk ejection errors coming up with variable frequency. Had the problem of ejecting before but not as bad as this. I can see the drive in 'system information' but nowhere else. Utility and firmware is up to date, kept that way automatically.

I have contacted support who advised me to shut down, hal-remove drives, update again and send them file info from the utility. Problem is the utility cant see the drive so I cant access the full utility (at least, I presume thats what is going on). Tried via terminal w/o success.

Hi Nick,

Many thanks. The guys have tried to be very helpful thus far - online and by phone. Very quick to offer a replacement core unit which, after a false start (some problem clearly occurrred with a lost web form - it happens!) arrived today. Unfortunately it hasn't resolved the problem - still cannot 'see' it.

I'm back onto the guys and await their response (obviously very frustrating for me, but I still recommend them given their helpfulness so far). I'm just wondering if this is me/my set up (though I have no idea why) or if this problem is occuring to others, or has been a problem before?

I guess Im trying to reassure myself that there is light at the end of this particular tunnel!

Regards

Pete
