Problems with first configuration E610F

Good day!

I have a problem to configure E610f via serial cable connection.

When I start Microsoft HyperTerminal, I see:

*    SAS JBOD CONSOLE v1.7.0000.12    *

*************************************************

cli>

in this mode I can use only few commands:

enclosure

uptime

link

route

vpdr

cable

factorydefaults

help

 

and that's all.

 

I cannot login, I cannot assign ip address. What am I doing incorrect?

Hi Andrey,

This means that you have a serial cable wired the wrong way, probably from a different manufacturer. Many manufacturers make serial cables with the same connectors, but there is no standard configuration.

If you can't find the correct cable many vendors carry them, they cost from $12 to $16.
