Will the Pegasus 32 work with a Thunderbolt 4 dock? Quick Start Guide says only TB-3 or USB 3.2 Gen 2.
Am on a MacBookPro M1 Max using the USB port on the OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock. I'd like to switch to the OWC TB-4 Dock but not sure if it's compatible?

Hello Paula,

Only the below has been tested with the Pegasus 32 R8 so this dock may or may not work.

1 Promise TD-300
2 HP ZBOOK 200W ThunderboltTM 3 Dock

Paula,

I have tested my Pegasus32 R6 with my M1 Max MBP connected to a Caldigit TS4 (yes, the brand new one) and it works just fine so long as you have followed the instructions to install the M1 Driver. MacOS will NOT mount the Pegasus unless the driver is installed, which is different from the plug-and-play experience on an Intel Mac.

Can't speak to the OWC one, but TB4 should be backwards compatible with TB3 devices.

Thank you for your replies. I ended up testing the Pegasus 32 R8 with both OWC docks and both work with the MBP M1 Max.

OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock with cable / SKU: OWCTB3DK14PSG
Tested with the USB driver and the USB 3.1 Gen2 port.

OWC Thunderbolt Dock with Thunderbolt 4 cable / SKU: OWCTB4DOCKSKU: OWCTB4DOCK
Tested with the M1 Driver.
