We just bought a Pegasus32 R4 to connect to our Mac Mini (late) 2012. We thought we could use an "USB-C-to-USB-A" cable, but the Pegasus32 doesn't show up.

Can we get the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor and then connect a "Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 2 "cable between the adaptor and the Mac Mini?

Is it at all possible to get the Pegasus32 to work on our Mac Mini?

Edit: I just realised that there was adaptors for USB-C and "the old USB". Is that also an option, that we get Apple's "USB-C to USB" adaptor and a "USB to USB" cable between the adaptor and the Mac Mini?

Hi Suzanne,

It is possible to connect them via the Apple TB3 to TB2 adapter. You will need to load the appropriate Pegasus32 driver in the MAC, and you'll find the Promise Utility handy for managing the storage.

If you decide to connect via USB (which you have the cable to do), make sure you load the Pegasus32 Series USB Filter Driver.

Hi again and thanks for the reply!

Do you mean that it is enough with the USB-C-to-USB-A cable just as long as we install the drivers? No adaptor? Because I installed the drivers and the Pegasus still didn't show up.

But if that is supposed to be sufficient I'll give it another go.
