Why is Promise being so evasive about what drives models they are putting in the new 64TB & 80TB units?

Hi 1qaz,
Promise populates the Pegasus with drives from multiple manufacturers, and will select a model based on variables such as performance, availability, and of course pricing.
Any drive model selected will have to pass rigorous testing and qualification before it will ship.
The manufacturer and model can change at any time during the product life cycle.
Currently Promise is using the Toshiba 8TB and Seagate 10TB drives in the Pegasus.

Yes, but why will no one specify the exact drives, & update the compatability list?!
It makes it look like you are a shady company.
