Pegasus3 R8 dead. Will a new one with the same drives in same order let us access the data?

Our Pegasys3 R8 died. We've tried different USB C/Thunderbolt cables. Red light blinks quickly and goes dark on power cycle.

If we bought a new chassis and transferred the drives in the same order will we be able to access the data? Otherwise, how else can we access the data to copy it somewhere else?

Hi Cliff,

If you moved the drives to a new Pegasus 3 or Pegasus32 chassis, they will be able to read the DDF and assemble the RAID volume. Unless there is something wrong with the filesystem your volume should mount and you should be able to access the data.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Is it as simple as powering down the old unit, transferring the drives to the new unit, then powering up the new unit? Or are there intermediate steps we need to do?
