I have a Pegasus2 R8 with 8 3TB drives. The unit formats to 21 TB of space. The Promise Utiltity and OS X's Disk Utility both indicate that the unit has 0 bytes available. Unfortunately, the unit will not mount under Mac OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan). I doubt it will mount on any other OS X system. Is there anything I can do short of reformating the unit? There is a lot of information I do not want to loose!
Pegasus2 R8 full, won't mount anymore

Also, the System Status reports all green. Can I ssh into the unit, delete a few files to create some space so that OSX can mount it?
Hi Kevin,
Even if space is full you should be able to mount the volume without any issues. Do you see the Pegasus unit via Promise utility? Could you please go to https://support.promise.com to register the product and to create a new support ticket for further assistance.

Hi Pradeep,
I registered the product and created a ticket.

Yes, I do. All status reports are green.
>Even if space is full you should be able to mount the volume without any issues.
I do not think this is true on OSX. If the drive is completely full, my experience is that OSX can't mount the drive. It wants to write to .DS_STORE files which it can't.
