If I purchase the housing for a pegasus 3 r6 could I transfer my Pegasus 2 disks to the new hardware without formating etc as a means of transferring my data and taking advantage of the faster speed.

Hi Peter,
Yes. The drive + carrier are used in Pegasus2 can also be mounted in Pegasus3. Their mechanical and backplane slots size are identical design.

Where can I purchase the Pegasus 3 without dirves or is it available that way?

Hi Peter,
There is no option to sell the unit without the drives from Promise.You can only get the unit along with the drives.
