Pegasus2 R6 brand new, first drive is DEAD after 8 hours

I have just gotten my new iMac 27" 5K - 2017 today and connected it to the Pegasus. it worked... then after some hours when I was doing a backup to the drive it started to beep indicating bas sectors... some 30-40. and then it beeped constantly and looking at the log it states that drive 1 is DEAD. This is NOT what I expected at this price, 25.900 DKr.

how do I proceed and what do I do in the meantime, The pegasus is supposed to carry ALL my data and be 100% up and running 24/7

Hi Palle,

Could you please go to https://support.promise.com to register the product and create a new websupport ticket with the latest subsystem report for further assistance.

Go to the below link go download the latest version of the utility.

https://www.promise.com/DownloadFile.aspx?DownloadFileUID=4539

Follow the below step to save the subsystem report for further investigation.

- Open Promise Utility.
- Click subsystem information icon on the top of the window.
- Click the lock symbol on the left bottom corner of the screen to unlock the utility.
- Click on save service report button to save the subsystem report.
