Hello,

we've been long term and happy user of Pegasus 4TB in RAID 5 for many years. Now we decided to upgrade from Mac mini to Mac pro and also to Pegasus2 8TB. Not a smooth ride so far :(

I immediately downloaded and installed the latest Promise Utility and connected new Pegasus2. Then the initialization process started, took some time but finished successfully.

However OS still can't find the drive. It just says that it cannot be readable. Note that I also installed latest drivers via Promise Utility.

Here are couple of screens:

So what should I do? Initialize it through Disk Utility and format? And then again initialize in Promise Utility? (There are no files I cannot lost on a new one yet).

Thanks.

Hi Martin,

You must use the OS X Initialize... button to create the partition and format the disk for use...
