I have a Pegasus2 R4 connected to a Mac Studio (M1 Ultra). The device is working great on macOS 15.7 (with the DEXT driver installed).
Does anyone know if this will continue to work with macOS 26 Tahoe?

Hi Robin,
I was unable to update to Tahoe immediatly after it was released, but I have now done so and the DEXT driver works well on Tahoe, no issues have been seen since the update.
The 2019 Mac Pro was also updated and the Pegasus also works well with Intel macOS Tahoe.
Hi, I've done all the updates for the MBP M4 but still doesn't recognise the R2. The R2 feels the Mac but not the way around. Any suggestions? Tks
Alex
Hi Alex,
please first check the driver installation status on your Mac.
Open a Terminal window and copy/paste below command and post the outcome here:
systemextensionsctl list | grep promise
The outcome should read [activated enabled] for driver 21.1.0
Kind regards,
Frank
Hi Frank, I also have a Pegasus 2 R4. Worked fine with maOS Tahoe 26.0 and 26.1 but currently won't mount anymore with macOS 26.2 RC installed,
When I check the driver in the Terminal I get "com.promise.driverkit.pegasus (21.0.2/1) com.promise.driverkit.pegasus [activated enabled]"
So 21.0.2/1, not 21.1.0 like you mention. I can't seem to find this newer version of the driver. Do you know where to download it? Maybe this is the solution.
Thanks!
Hi Emiel,
the 21.1.0 driver version is the DEXT driver for the Pegasus32 range, it is backward compatible with older Pegasus devices.
It can be downloaded from the Pegasus32 support pages or directly via below link:

Kind regards,
Frank
Thanks! Installed… but my olde Pegasus 2 R4 won't mount with the 21.1.0/1 driver installed. Worked fine two days ago under macOS 26.1, but fails while running the release candidate of 26.1. Maybe thinks will change when the OS update will be officially released next week.
I also haven't seen the 'Legacy System Extension' warning for a while.
UPDATE: restarted my Mac two times, turned off/on the R4… and it mounted again!
Thanks for the update emiel. 🤞🤞
Frank: Have you tested 21.1.0 of the driver with 26.2 RC?
Robin
I did not test 26.2 update yet.
@Emiel, check also the installed firmware on your Pegasus2 R4.
Last available version for Pegasus2 is 5.04.0000.64, update if necessary.
The Legacy System Extension warning is usually triggered by older versions KEXT drivers if still installed on your Mac.
