I can't see any documentation from Promise to confirm compatibility between the R6 and Sierra - can anyone confirm that it does in fact work before I migrate our server?

Thanks…

The Pegasus R6 works jsut fine with Sierra. I've upgraded to sierra a few weeks ago and have 0 problems.

Cheers.

I upgraded to Sierra, and it works without any problems, except one. The Promise Utlity isn't compatible with Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra), and I'm waiting for Promise to deliver client update.

Does anyone know when that is planned?

Hi,

We are working on next service release which will include the Mac OS X 10.12(Sierra) in the compatibility list. However Pegasus unit can work with Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra).

Please check promise.com for further updates.

Thanks.

Hi

It is now the 9th January 2017 and there is still no update on the Promise web site for the Pegasus2 RAID unit. The Mac Utility for the Pegasus2 is listing 10.10, 10.11 support - but no macOS Sierra support. The driver was last updated in March 2016.

There is a Pegasus3 Utility for Mac that offers macOS 10.12.1 support on your web site - but as yet no update for the Pegasus2 RAID unit.

I'm experiencing some issues with a Mac Mini running macOS Sierra 10.12.2 and a Promise Pegasus R8 unit and another issue with a new MacBook Pro (Late 2016) connecting to a Promise Pegasus R4. One has a speed issue and the other can no longer boot off the RAID. Different issues and maybe unrelated to any driver issue. The only common thing between them in macOS 10.12.2.

It would be nice to be able to eliminate the driver as a potential issue knowing that it is running a driver that Promise qualify as working and tested with Mac OS 10.12.2.

Hi Matthew,

Go to the below link go download the latest version of the utility this is the same version mentioned on our download center which will work with MAC 10.12.x.   http://promise.com/DownloadFile.aspx?DownloadFileUID=4124   If you are using a Pegasus2 unit, you do not need any drivers for the MAC unit. It is a plug and play device, so when you connect the unit, it will be automatically detected.   Please install the utility and see how it works. If you still have problems, then please create a web support ticket by going to https://support.promise.com or call us at 1-408-228-1500 and we will be more than happy to help you.   Regards Pradeep C
