pegasus r6 dead drives after power cut

hi 

 

had a very brief power cut this morning , have two pegasus a new pegasus '2' r4 and older r6 , new one came back on fine the older one has completely failed , red lights on all 6 drives , and am at a complete loss . Pegasus utility shows them all as dead tried disconeecting reboot etc , but to no avail . Surely this cant happen ....can it ?

Hi Steve,

To help you on this issue, we need the subsystem report of  Pegasus 2 R6. So could you please visit support.promise.com, register the product if it is not registered yet and create a web support case. In that case id kindly attach the subsystem report.

Kindly follow below steps to save the subsystem report:

 

- Open promise utility

- Click subsystem information icon on the top of the Promise Utility window

- Click the lock symbol on the left bottom corner of the screen to unlock the utility

- Click on save service report button to save the subsystem report and attach it to this case.

 

Below is the Promise KB link to know how to attach files to the web support case:

i have just tried to register this particuar drive but get message 'unable to get product information from serial number provided . so cannot proceed , but i am registered with you with the newer P2 r4 , the pegasus 1 R6 is the one that i have the problem with , as stated in my original post .

Hi Steve,

The serial number for the Pegasus unit will be on the back of the unit . It will start with "S".

In the product registration page, you can find the Pegasus 1 Series under the "Previous Generation" option. 

If you still have issues in registring the product, please open a case under your Pegasus 2 account with the report.  We will register the product and will help you further.
