Pegasus R6 drive failure

Hi,

I have a Pegasus R6 with a RAID5 setup with 6 identical 8TB HDDs connected to a iMac Pro (2017) running on macOS Catalina v 10.15.7. This morning, I noticed the HDD in Slot 5 was marked dead due to removal. Drive wasn't removed at all, so I tried shutting down both the iMac & Pegasus and tried removing and putting back the dead drive. Once I rebooted, Pegasus still marks the drive as dead. The HDD is only 4 months old, seems odd it would die so quickly. 

Any chance this could be resolved without buying a new drive?
