I have two Pegasus 1 drives set up as RAID5, and would like to update the firmware so that I can run a later operating system, specifically 13.7.8 Ventura.  I've read several posts here, and have tried to put together how to do this.  I can get the drive to mount using Thunderbolt 2 cables to a MacBook Pro running 10.12.6.  I have tried mounting it on an iMac running 10.13.6, it won't mount.  I ran the utility on the iMac, and it says the drive has the latest firmware.  If there is a post that could walk me through getting the drive to mount on the iMac running 13.7.8, using a Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 cable/USB-C, I'd appreciate the help.

Hi Rives,

Is this Ventura on an Intel Mac or an Apple Silicon Mac?

Intel Macos has a Pegasus driver builtin, If you have Ventura on an Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) Mac you will have to install a driver.

There is a pdf with install instructions in the dmg file.

If the iMAC is an Intel Mac, then the driver may not be loading for some reason. To check open a terminal and enter the following and post the results here.

kextstat | grep promise
