Hey all,

I will keep this short and sweet.

Prior to the Windows 10 FORCED creators update:

X-99 A ii Motherboard

ASUS Thunderbolt EX iii Card

Pegasus 3 R8 48TB TB3 RAID

Everything working fine.

I was prompted to update upon shutdown last week for an "update", not realizing it was this "Creators" update. R8 does not boot with CPU what so ever now. Thunderbolt is recognized in BIOS, and all settings are the same prior to Windows update.

Windows is just not seeing the R8 now.

Thoughts? As I have been tinkering all day and haven't had any luck.

I've rolled back to the previous Windows build with no luck either.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Cory

Hi Cory,

Is the unit boots and shutdown automatically within 10-15 seconds? Are you able to see the thunderbolt indicator light on the Pegasus unit when you power on?

The Blue thunderbolt indicator should be lit up just below the power button indicating a connection.

Thank you.

The unit does not boot with the comptuer as it used to. I know there is still power to the RAID, because I have a Lacie Rugged USB-C drive daisychained off of it. The computer does not recognize this drive though. But when I unplug it, you can hear the disk slowing down.

I have ordered a Gigabyte Alpine Ridge card which I have heard is way more stable. So I will have to see if that fixes my problem.
