Hi all,

I just got the Pegasus 3 R8 32tb (PC edition). It's connected to a thunderbolt 3 port. I have a beast f a machine running i76950x, 128gb ram, geforce gtx 1080ti 11gb,

I have the RAID set to RAID0.

I've been running some tests with Blackmagic Speed test and I'm only getting at best 380mbp/s. I was expecting to see something around the 700 mbp/s mark...anyone???

Hi Mike i am curious to know if you use a PCI Thunderbolt card to connect to your Pegasus ? Or the MB model you are using ?
Cheers

Hi Mike i am curious to know if you use a PCI Thunderbolt card to connect to your Pegasus ? Or the MB model you are using ?

I have been having the same issuses with my Pegasus R8 48TB RAID5. I have it plugged into the ASUS TB3 Card and am not getting fast speeds at all, struggling to get through FULL res 8K RED footage. As where another editor I know says hes chewing through the footage on almost an identical setup.

CPU Specs:

Motherboard - X99A-ii

TB3 Card - ASUS ThunderboltEX 3 PCI-E x4 Card

GPU - GTX 1080Ti

SSD - Samsung 960 PRO M.2 PCIe SSD 1TB

Memory - Corsair Vengance LPX D4 64GB

CPU - i7 6800K 3.4GHz 15mb

Here is my BMD Speed Test results (It cuts the numbers off for some reason, but it's reading 340 Write and 317 Read):

Any and all help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Cory

Hey Cory,

There's a more updated firmware version than the current one you're using. If you wanna give it a go, it's free at the download centre.
