My Promise Pegasus R8 keeps disconneting (improperly) over night.
I am running an iMac 5K, 27" late 2015 with OS X 10.14.1.

The Pegasus is connected through Thunderbolt 2 with a official Apple brand Thunderbolt 3 > Thunderbolt 2 connector.

I usually don't shut the iMac down, just putting it into sleep mode. Every morning I have messages "Promise Pegasus not properly ejected" Sometime during the day aswel (not in sleepmode), very inconsistent...

I've made all updates available. Firmware:6.00.0000.31 Rev. Nr. A3

Any thoughts on this?
Thank for your help!

Best regards, Jack

Hi Jack,

Could you please try with a different thunderbolt cable to see how it works. If the problem persist, kindly go to https://support.promise.com to register the product and create a support ticket with the latest logs for further invesitgation.

Follow the below step to save the subsystem report for further investigation.

- Open Promise Utility.

- Click subsystem information icon on the top of the window.

- Click the lock symbol in the left bottom corner of the screen to unlock the utility.

- Click on save service report button to save the subsystem report.

Regards

I have had to replace a few of the Thunderbolt cables that came with Pegasus Units because of loose fits causing occassional disruption of connection with no real movement. I am able to isolate the loose fit by lightly touching near the connection and observing a disconnection.
