Pegasus 3 R6 and upgrade to Sonoma 2019 MacBook Pro

I have a 2019 Macbook Pro (Intel chip) and I would like to upgrade it to Mac OS Sonoma. I have two Pegasus 3 R6 24TB connected via thunderbolt. Everything is running fine.

Any cautions or advice before upgrading the mac os? Also I will be soon replacing this Macbook Pro with a newer Apple M1 or M2 or M3 laptop. Best recommended steps when upgrading to this Apple chip?

thanks in advance for the advice!

Hi Kenton,

Any cautions or advice before upgrading the mac os?

We have seen at least one case where the upate broke some links to external storage, to be safe, it might be a good idea to disconnect external storage.

Also I will be soon replacing this Macbook Pro with a newer Apple M1 or M2 or M3 laptop. Best recommended steps when upgrading to this Apple chip?

Apples M-series macOS does not have a builtin driver for Pegasus, so you will have to manually install the driver.
