Hi: my Pegasus2 M4 is heating up and then sending this alarm-beep. Promise Utility reports Backplane and Controller overheating. Media Patroil is running but I venture that this should not affect it?! What can be done?

Hi Rudolf,
Please register yourself as a user at https://support.promise.com/ and open a case with the Service report.
Steps to save the report :
1) Open Promise Utility.
2) Click subsystem information icon on the top of the window.
3) Click the lock symbol on the left bottom corner of the screen to unlock the utility.
4) Click on save service report button to save the subsystem report and attach it to the case

Hi Rudolf,
Just to bring this up, a while ago there was a post by a Pegasus user who had a similar problem, He reports that he opened it up and it was full of dust, so the curcuits could not cool properly and it overheated. He also reports that after a thorough cleaning he reassembled it and it worked perfectly.
I don't know how handy you are, but it seems like you have the same problem.
