Have a very OLD Windows 2003 install with a SX4300. Had a RAID 1 and one drive has failed. Want to copy the remaining one to a non RAID SSD drive.

Before you ask - keeping server alive because it has some super old propriatary fat client apps that a client of mine still uses. Got this thing behind a dedicated software firerwall in addition to our network firewall. Should just make it into a VM.

Can someoen please explain what I need to do to copy the remaining drive.

Hi Edward,

If the drive is a data drive, you can connect the new SSD and use file manager to copy the files across. If there are no extra SATA ports on the computer you can get a USB to SATA adapter for $15 on Amazon.

RAID 1 means that one drive is a copy of the other, so both drives have the same data. If one drive fails, the data is available from the surviving drive. So in this case you don't need to worry about the failed drive, there is no extra or different data on it.
