How do I play movies purchased through iTunes and stored on my Apollo Cloud on iOS devices? When I try opening them on the Apollo App I'm told the app is not authorized to play this file type (m4v)? Thanks!

Hello, the problem that you are told that the app does not have permission to play this file type, is because both the movies and TV series in iTunes are protected by DRM technology, which limits the playing of the videos in iTunes to only the selected Apple devices. So what you have to do is to choose to delete the DRM in iTunes and send it to the apps we usually use, such as tidal, Spotify, etc YouTube also has DRM protection, so Spotify music converter / iTunes converter / tidal converter will be needed to remove DRM protection.

Because of the DRM protection (Digital Right Protection) on iTunes, you are not allowed to download the movies from iTunes directly. As a movies lover, I am eager to keep my favorite movies on my own device such as Apollo Cloud on iOS devices. Recently, my friends recommend a great converter to me. As I know, Apple Music was developed to compete with the raising streaming audio services such as Spotify, Amazon Unlimited, Google Play Music and so on. You can listen to the songs freely with the internet connection. But you can't copy or transfer the files elsewhere such as CD, USB, SD card for offline playback with the digital rights management protection. On the other hand, this protection prevents legal users to listen to the songs freely too.

Yes, the movies can be played locally, but only through iTunes. And yes, I've updated to the latest firmware version. I'm guessing it has to do with the DRM feature on the files downloaded from iTunes?

Could you please confirm are you able to play the same video file in the Mac local drive? Make sure you have updated the latest utility and fimware in the unit.
