Hi, with other cloud storages like wd my cloud, i can't have remotely a folder with all my files. I can use the cloud only via web app.

Is it possible with apollo to have like a drive, which i can work with also remotely or to access the cloud i need a web app? (I'm talking about macs and obviously not with ios devices which absolutely need the app).

Thanks

For Mac and Windows PC, you can use Apollo Cloud Utiltiy for handling your files like a remote folder in a drive. You can create & delete, copy & move, drag & drop your files in Apollo Cloud, just like you do it as local folder. Apollo Cloud Utility can be downloaded from Promise's website: http://www.promise.com/Support/downloadcenter

Thanks Philip...But is there any way to mount the drive and see it as a share drive on the left menu of the Mac, also remotely?

After installing the Apollo Utility in your Mac, you can see a icon on the left menu of the Finder.  See below screenshot.

It is not a share folder like other external drive, but a dedicated Apollo folder for automatical synchronizing your files in your local Mac system with Apollo Cloud. If you just want to keep one copy of your files in Apollo but not in local Mac system, you should not put file in it.

In the other hand, File folders in Apollo Cloud can be selective synchronized or not with your local Mac folder via Settings in Apollo Utility.

Tanks Philip! Do I see this folder also remotely, out of the wireless network in which apollo is installed?

Or should I use a web app as it happens with Wd Mycloud?

Yes. You can manage the files in thie sync folder as well as in Apollo at anywhere. The only requirement is that your Mac and Apollo both are connecting in the internet. You don't need web app for file synchronization with Apollo. It's simpler than other Cloud devices.
