installed anyway; which hung the system

hard shutdown, recovery mode, setting as prior reduced security / allow user managaement enabled

restart - same drivers, not loaded

cant't reply to Promise email

no means I can see to reply/add comment to the ticket

I'm also having the same issues as other users with MacOS 12.4 Monterey.

1. Downloaded R_MacDrv_V6.2.17-3.pkg.

2. Followed the instructions, including reducing system security via recovery mode, install software and allowed execution in the General Pane of Security & Privacy in System Preferences.

3. Did a reboot where the system crashed (<-- This is where the issue is I think) and then auto restarted.  No Pegaus2 R4 shows in finder or a fully up to date Promise Utility, but it does show in System information.

4. Tried these commands in Terminal:

sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/PromiseSTEX.kext

Password:

Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/PromiseSTEX.kext

Error Domain=KMErrorDomain Code=71 "Incompatible architecture: Binary is for x86_64, but needed arch arm64e" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Incompatible architecture: Binary is for x86_64, but needed arch arm64e}

And:

grep Version /Library/Extensions/PromiseSTEX.kext/Contents/Info.plist

<string>Version: 6.2.17, Copyright (c) 2010-2021 Promise Technology, Inc.</string>

<key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key>

<key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key>

<key>CFBundleVersion</key>

<key>DTPlatformVersion</key>

<key>LSMinimumSystemVersion</key>

I've followed all instructions and can't work out what else to do.

I have also changed ports the Pegasus is plugged into but haven't changed cables, but this cable shipped it and I've been using it for years without issue until the last few days when I moved to the Mac Studio.

Any other ideas?
