I have an R6 I bought in 2012. It just works. However, as it is getting old I am wondering if there is anything I should be doing in the way of maintenance...or should I just wait for a drive to fail and then replace it?

How do I go about updating the firmware? I believe when i first purchased the unit I simply plugged it in and started using it...I don't seem to have any software associated with it...and have never updated firmware before...
