Is there any changes needed before upgrading to macOS27 if the R6 & R8 drives are mounting and the promise utitliy (4.06.0000.04) is working on M1 system running macOS26.7?

I have a backup Mac Mini M1 that I just updated to MacOS 27. If I put my 2 Pegasus2 R4 drive enclosures on a separate Thunderebolt chain, then they do mount and my Promise utility (4.06.0000.04) also seems to work.

I originally had my Pegasus drive enclosures on a single Thunderbolt chain with some other drive enclosures, but something in that configuration caused my MacOS 27 system to crash. This configuration did work on previous MacOS systems on my Mac Mini. It's possible that the system software for these other drive enclosures has a problem and I'm awaiting a pending MacOS 27 software update for these other enclosures to see if the problem goes away.

Anyway, my 2 Promise Pegasus2 R4 enclosures do seem to work OK on my Mac Mini with MacOS 27 if I they are on a separate Thunderbolt chain. I'll continue testing MacOS 27 on my backup Mac using all my drive enclosures before I update my main Mac. If I run into any problems related to my Promise drives, I'll post here.

Hi Paul,

As a test I connected a Pegasus 2 to our M1 Mac Mini with Golden Gate then daisy chained a Pegasus 1.

No issues, it worked fine.

Please make sure that both Pegasus2 unit's firmware is updated to the latest release. Older firmware can cause various issues with the new Apple Silicon Macs.

I received confirmation today from Promise Support the following:
It is confirmed that the Pegasus 1, 2, 3, and 32 all work with Golden Gate (aka macOS v27

So glad to hear that. I'm still rocking my Pegasus2 R8 on my M4 Max Mac Studio on 26.7 but I'm holding out for 27.1 before upgrading since it's my main production machine and I want to make sure they work out the bugs with Adobe before I jump. My MacBook Pro is running 27.0 but I haven't attempted to connect the Pegasus to it yet. Seems to be running fine though.
