Mac Studio and Imac plug on Pegasus possible?

Hi,

is there a possibility to work simultaneously with 2 macs on the Pegasus 32 R4? Splitter? Hub?

Hi Damien,

It is not possible to plug (2) computers into the thunderbolt ports of a Pegasus and for both to use the storage that way. The second thunderbolt port is for daisy chaining a second thunderbolt device.

But it is possible export the volume and let a second computer (or more) access it through SMB.

Hi 

thanx for helping, I figured that out yeah.

but I did manage to connect the IMac to the studio via Thb3 and to access the Raid through the network via file sharing. 

but what is smb?

Hi Damien,

I think this sums it up well enough.

If you use the 'connect to server' app to mount network storage the connect line will look like this...

smb://10.0.0.100/somefolder
