Mac frozen on startup after Sanlink2 software install, High Sierra

Macbook pro sitting on startup after Sanlink2 software install, High Sierra.  might be the wrong version, but unable to get into OS to uninstall.  

Tried this : https://support.apple.com/nl-nl/HT208019  Did not work.

Will not boot in safe mode.  Only difference is installling the Sanlink 2 software.  how can i remove it via the terminal?

Driver was E_MacDrv_V1.7.4..my guess it's the wrong driver which is causing the hang.

Tried this in Terminal after Command-R boot but didnt' work 

sudo rm -rf /Library/Extensions/SANLink2-10GE.kext

Recovery Mode Method:

1. When you're in Recovery Mode, you have to specify the path of the macOS volume in order to delete the kernel extension:

rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Library/Extensions/SANLink2-10GE.kext

Additional Methods:

1. Boot in Safe Mode and delete the kernel extension:
