Hi all, I have a solid orange light on the power button. Using the Promise utility, it is saying "Logical drive has been set to critical". is this recoverable?

i am backing up what I can before it dies.. not sure if things will be corrupted as they get pulled off.

Hi,

I would guess that 1 disk is marked dead or offline for whatever reason in which case you can replace it with another one and start a rebuild on the new disk to get your system back in normal state.
It should not affect your data, however if a 2nd disk were to fail then you would lose access to the data (in case of default RAID5 setup) so your system IS vulnerable.
What you can do is create a service report file in the utility > subsystem information section, zip the file and attach it here so we can check your system's health and advise you on the next steps to take.
Please make sure to unlock the utility to be able to create the service report.

In addition to the Logical drive, Look at your Physical Drive List.  That may show you which drive has failed.

Thank you, yes looks like a physical drive was failing, cuasing the logical drive warning. Switched out the bad drive, rebuilding now.

Thanks for your help!
