How can I recover a degraded RAID array without losing data?

Hi Promise

I have a PROMISE RAID system with a degraded array. What is the recommended procedure to identify the failed drive, replace it, and rebuild the array safely without risking data loss? Is there anything I should avoid doing before starting the rebuild? I'm sorry if this is the wrong product category. We're using it in Switzerland so I'm not sure if the process is different.

Hi Frank,

A drive that is offline in any Pegasus will have a red status light.

The Promise Utility will tell the status of the Pegasus and all the drives. If you can tell me which macOS version you use and which Pegasus (is it a Pegasus1?) I can post a link to the correct version of the Promise Utility.
